Brompton Laundry was founded by Fiona and Charlie Howie in 2013 in response to increasing demand in the surrounding area for a quality linen hire service that was personal and reliable. Still, a family-run business providing an outstanding laundry service and linen hire to boutique hotels, restaurants, and spas.
Formerly known as Lucinda’s Laundry, the client wished to rebrand the business as the Brompton Laundry Co, as the identity they had inherited was overly complicated and very dated. My challenge was to design a new logo and identity that would appeal to their target customer, boutique hotels, restaurants and spas.
The challenge was to design a new identity that would appeal to their target customer, boutique hotels, restaurants and spas.
An elegant logo based around the typography of the letter ‘B’ was created as the symbol for the Brompton Laundry Co. I wanted it to have a feeling of tradition, but at the same time, feel current and appeal to a more discerning clientele. A Farrow & Ball inspired colour palette was also chosen to evoke a feeling or heritage and give the identity a professional and sophisticated look.
